Lady Gaga x Adobe:
Chromatica Album
Release Collab
Lady Gaga released her sixth studio album 'Chromatica,' where she teamed up with Adobe and Live Nation to challenge fans and show off their creativity. Lady Gaga invites fans to bring their creativity to life as part of Adobe Creative Tour using Adobe's creative apps like Illustrator, Photoshop, Spark (now known as Creative Cloud Express), and more. There are two challenges: first, 'Create your Chromatica' and second, 'Rain on Me' poster challenge.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The first challenge was creating a world of Chromatica using exclusive assets provided by Lady Gaga's teams. As part of the Adobe Spark Content Team, I created templates for Spark users to use as a starting point to create their world of Chromatica. The two goals for these templates were to show users the app's capabilities and empower them to express their creativity.
INITIAL CONCEPTS
I wanted to create templates that are easy to edit and a few more complex for the initial drafts. I used colors consistent with the colors of Chromatica, so a lot of pinks, black, green, light grey, and purple. I also designed social media templates that included songs like "Rain On Me" and "Alice." And finally, I included a collage of my interpretation of "Chromatica" to highlight what users can create using Adobe CC Express and their imagination.
PROJECT SCOPE CHANGES
As I was waiting for feedback from my manager, Adobe Communications Team had last-minute changes to the challenge. They wanted to divvy up the workload and divided us into two teams: one team was to design for the first half of the challenge: "Create your Chromatica," and the second team was assigned the second half of the challenge, which was the "Rain on Me" poster challenge. Unfortunately, I was assigned the second half of the challenge, and the designs I created for "Create your Chromatica" never went into production.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The main goal of these templates was to empower spark users to express their creativity. A barrier to entry in many design application tools is that it takes time to learn these applications (like Photoshop and Illustrator), and it's intimidating to use, mainly if you've never used these applications before.
The goal for these template designs had to:
-
Be simple and easy to edit
-
Serve as a starting point for participants to kickstart their creativity
-
Incorporate the exclusive assets provided by Lady Gaga and LiveNation
-
Highlight app features and capabilities

SOLUTION
For this project, I wanted these templates to focus on the assets provided by Lady Gaga. Most of the assets provided were images, so it was a perfect opportunity to highlight app features like "remove background." I also limited the number of design elements on the templates so that users could quickly move things around and replace images. In addition, I created a social media template for our content team to use to promote the challenge, and users could also use it to kick start their creativity.
